Mark Vermeersch

Following Danbury Catholic, Mark finished-up his primary and secondary education in the MVAO school system. After high school, he attended the University of Notre Dame, attaining a BBA in Finance, spending time traveling the world with the Glee Club, and also participating in various entrepreneurial endeavors. Following a summer internship on Wall Street, Mark entered the world of finance with his first post-college job at The University of Chicago's Investment Office, where he simultaneously attained his MBA from Chicago Booth. After spending a year at a hedge fund in Los Angeles, Mark left the world of finance to join the startup scene in Chicago, working as a Product and Strategy Manager for Snapsheet. At the same time, he also attained a Master in Product Design and Development from Northwestern. After Snapsheet and Northwestern, Mark moved with his wife, Theresa, to San Francisco, where he works as a Strategy Manager for Google.

Not one to stay content doing one thing at a time, Mark still fills his nights and weekends with his own entrepreneurial ventures, advising and consulting, and also stays active doing triathlons and skiing around the world. Mark still remembers many lessons learned from Danbury Catholic, specifically those from his 5-6th grade teacher, Kathy Marsh, who pushed him to realize his own potential.

Lynsey Seuntjens

I was blessed with the opportunity to attend Danbury Catholic from kindergarten through sixth grade. During my time there, I made lifelong friendships with both my peers and the amazing teachers I had each year. After my time at Danbury Catholic came to an end, I moved onto middle school and high school, where I graduated first in my class. I was offered a full-tuition academic scholarship to attend Buena Vista University (a scholarship worth more than $100,000), and I graduated from this institution in May with a bachelor’s of science degree in biology. I now plan on working for a year before applying to and attending school to become a physician’s assistant.

I have been blessed with countless opportunities throughout my life, and I believe this is due to the foundation that I built during my time at Danbury Catholic. Danbury Catholic taught me the importance of education, family, and most importantly faith- a lot of faith is needed when working towards a degree in biology! I am always proud to say that I am a Danbury Catholic alum, and I will continue to use the morals and lessons that I learned during my education there throughout the rest of my life.
